I wanted a reason to leave the site.
DeviantArt promoting that bullshit known as feminism is that reason.

I've had it...
I'm done with dA.
I've had people complaining AT ME because I'm not getting anywhere near the audience that I do on other sites. The point of posting fiction here is not to be super successful. It's to gather in more views from different audiences. Only here, no-one bothers. I literally just have no reason to put my stuff here anymore, because it isn't worth the effort when I can link the two or three people that actually care to better postings of it.
There's also a lot of porn going up. I don't care what your definition of porn is. Full nudity, or almost full nudity with sexual poses is porn to me. And I don't want it. But dA is so up the
Follow Up
At this point, I'll be publishing the other two prequel stories to Twilight Sparkle Gets a Visit from Sunset Shimmer here. I will not be publishing the continuing stories here though. They'll be on FiMFic as per normal.
I was sick at the time of the previous journal, but all that did was make me not put on a big smile and keep putting up with things.
I'm going to start outright blocking artists who fill the categories I mentioned before with such conviction that there's no redeeming them. Why punish the good people when it's a bunch of loud jerks with lots of money kicking up a storm?
That's all. I still need this place to catch Miirik's l
I'm Done
I am so sick and tired of deviantArt.
The community sucks. Plain and simple.
I could not give two craps about stolen adoptables. I could not give two craps about people that are getting into your account because you don't know what a secure password is. And I do not have to deal with these lazy submissions to the group, when it is clearly obvious that it does not belong in the group at all, or that it is in the entirely wrong folder.
I've had it.
For the record, it takes roughly two years to write a proper novel. And the chances of getting it published these days by a professional company are very very small. All of you artists who make m
In the Shadow of a Dying Star - Two Weeks
Two weeks, until I sit down and begin planning out this novel. I'm still undecided about whether I'll be publishing the chapters here, because quite frankly the amount of effort that could end up going into this may mean trying to sell this to a publisher, and they aren't typically excited to hear that the whole story is posted up for free, marginalized by the site or otherwise.
Anyway, I expect to begin writing in March, with the first chapter done for later that month, or maybe very early April. After that, I guess either monthly or bi-monthly chapters will be the norm.
